April Q+A, Part 1: What do you do to wrap up the year?

Community member Kenzie Randall had a fantastic idea to crowdsource a Q+A answer, so that’s exactly what I did this month!

I asked Twitter how teachers wrap up the school year, and we got tons of interesting ideas! This year, I’m partnering with social studies to have 8th graders write picture books using primary sources in the style of Kwame Alexander’s An American Story. (I will surely share it with you!)

But I am easily bored and always hungry for a new great idea!

There were so many fascinating ideas that I am going to send this month’s q+a in two parts — one today and one tomorrow.
