That feeling when every day is a weird schedule and you rarely see your students ...
Maybe you have also arrived at the place in the school year where there are no more “normal” weeks, and every week has a day off, a professional development day, a conference day, a special assembly (or two), a field trip here or there. It’s the best and worst of times, isn’t it?
As a result, units are stretching out forever — too long — and I need to wrap them up fast!
7th graders are still finishing The Widely Unknown Myth of Apple and Dorothy, which has been incredible, in their character analysis unit. 8th graders have finished studying Hamlet and are now transitioning to writing a literary essay about an element of the play. I love an end-of-year high-wire act.
