What we did and what it looked like
The first two months and last two months of school are such perfectly mirrored bookended drinks out of the metaphorical firehose. Time moves so quickly and class time is constantly disrupted by field trips and special assemblies (Hello, spring Health + Wellness Day) and wonderful things that make teaching feel absolutely impossible.
Around here, my 8th graders are busily writing their fantasy short stories and my 7th graders have been critically reading the graphic novels that we are beginning to use as mentor texts for our own graphic novel creation.
Here are my lesson plans from the last two weeks + some pictures of what it all looked like:
