I’ve officially entered the final month of the school year — it’s always so much more time and too little time simultaneously. In seventh, we are reading and discussing and analyzing characters in The Outsiders. (And kids are OBSESSED. Like, we’re having Greaser Day next week, and we’ll all come to school dressed as Greasers. It’s weird and adorable and will probably never happen again, so I am leaning in. )
In eighth, we finished Lord of the Flies and started our final humanities project of the year which will count as their exam grade. Students are using their knowledge of civics, Animal Farm, and Lord of the Flies to create civilizations. I’ve been reading drafts of constitutions all day. :) You can see our project instructions, materials, and calendar below!
