What we did + what it looked like!
Welcome to 2024! A land of opportunity! Gosh, I love a new year. I’m still a cockeyed optimist who believes in New Year’s resolutions in spite of the data (my personal data included).
I’ve been back at school for a week and a half now. In 7th grade, we’re working on a mini-unit on poetry and ultimately revision. (Poetry is the PERFECT thing to bring to class whilst stalling in planning your next big unit.)
In 8th grade, we’re working on the latest and greatest writing project — an essay that blends narrative, informational, and analytical writing as it explores a historical photograph. It’s a joint unit with my pal Sam and her history class, so I’m living in the lovely land of DOUBLE CLASS PERIODS to teach.
