I love traveling to conferences and school districts to work with rooms-full of teachers, but I’ve always wished for more one-on-one connections. Time to really sit and hear the particulars of your classroom and brainstorm together how to meet your goals. Time to toss ideas back and forth. Time for you to be heard and validated and supported.
I’ve dabbled in it a little bit this spring. Here’s some feedback from three recent coaching dates:
The time was really productive and helpful. I appreciated the resources and [Rebekah’s] practical advice! - Vivian
Rebekah is a a wonderful, supportive coach who truly 'sees' the teacher and the students. She recognizes and plans for the challenges but does not allow the challenges to limit the kinds of lessons we develop. I am always inspired by her as a writer and as a writing teacher. I loved the detailed way in which she selected texts for our session and the clarity with which she was able to explain how I could select them as well. - Rama
I have some wonderful ideas for my 24-25 argument writing unit. Our conversation also helped validate some teaching ideas/philosophies I already had. -Sarah
So, here we go. I’m offering coaching sessions until August 15 — and we’ll see how it goes!
